Agricultural Gypsum Fines

Agricultural Gypsum FinesCharlson Excavating is a large bulk supplier of Agricultural Gypsum in north Iowa.   We have been in the Gypsum processing business for over 20 years.  Our Gypsum product comes from the Fort Dodge, IA, natural mine deposits, of which we acquire to supply our local cement plant for their production of cement.

Processing and Screening gypsumWe are now able process and screen ag-gypsum at our Mason City, IA location.  This means we are able to provide ag-gypsum (a.k.a.,  Ag-Gyp Fines)  to our north central Iowa farmers for low competitive rates.

Agricultural Gypsum is a moderately soluble source of essential plant nutrients.  It contains calcium and sulfur that act as a soil amendment, conditioner and fertilizer to improve the soil and overall plant growth.  This type of gypsum has been used in the United States and applied to agricultural soils for more than 250 years.  Click below to view the Lab analysis of our product.

We currently process, sell and haul this agricultural commodity as well as various other aggregate products (i.e. Roadstone and Clean or Washed Rock) in bulk trailers including dump trucks and side dumps.

Our progressive stages of crushing and screening enable us to produce a wide range of aggregate products and sizes.  We produce construction/aggregate commodities from the smallest of Gyp fines to oversized stone where size and weight are important to address erosion control and/or water damage.

See our Aggregate page for more information regarding various Rock sizes or Sand/Dirt products for construction, farming, business or your personal landscaping needs.
